Your escorted tour through Colorado, South Dakota, and Wyoming's American West starts in the 'Mile High City' of Denver to see its historic sites at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Buffalo Bill's Grave & Museum. Head north to spectacular Rocky Mountain National Park to explore the alpine vistas from Trail Ridge Road over the Continental Divide. Stay overnight in the old-world charm of Estes Park's Stanley Hotel-inspiration for Stephen King's thriller, The Shining. Continue to the black hills of South Dakota to see the spectacular monument to four U.S. presidents, carved into historic Mount Rushmore National Memorial. |Day 1||Denver||Welcome to the gateway to the Rockies. At 6 pm, meet your traveling companions for a welcome drink. Your Tour Director will prepare you for your upcoming adventure.|
|Day 2||Denver||After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of the 'Mile High City,' includes Union Station, historic neighborhoods, and RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATER to view the naturally formed acoustic stage. Here, visit the Colorado Music Hall of Fame to learn of the legendary music acts that played here, from Johnny Cash to the Beatles. Then, visit BUFFALO BILL'S GRAVE & MUSEUM to learn about the life of William F. Cody who brought the Wild West alive through his traveling show in the late 1800s. This evening, dine at [LF] the BUCKHORN EXCHANGE, Denver's original steakhouse serving Old West fare since 1893. (B,D)|
|Day 3||Estes Park||Leave Denver for Grand Lake and the western entrance of ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK. Take scenic Trail Ridge Road, once known as the 'Dog Trail' by the Arapaho people, and travel over the Continental Divide through high alpine fields. As you travel along the national scenic byway, watch for the regal elk that call this region home. |Day 4||Keystone||Today, travel north through the grasslands of Wyoming and into the majestic black hills of South Dakota. Visit MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL, a giant monument to four great American presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt. (B)|
|Day 5||Keystone||After breakfast, visit PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION where a local Lakota guide will discuss the history of these great historic people. Visit the [LF] Red Cloud Indian School and Heritage Center to learn more about the school's purpose, the reservation, and challenges faced by the Lakota people. Afterward, continue to BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK to see spectacular scenery in the region. (B,L,D)|
|Day 6||Deadwood||This morning, visit CUSTER STATE PARK and enjoy a BUFFALO SAFARI. Along the way, watch for free roaming bison, elk, or charismatic burros. Next, visit CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, a monument carved out of a mountain paying respect to the great Lakota leader, Chief Crazy Horse. Then, off to Deadwood, a lawless frontier town during the 1876 Gold Rush for a guided tour highlighting the towns colorful past and characters. Overnight, discover Deadwood's Wild West ways as you walk in the footsteps of legends like Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickok. (B)|
|Day 7||LARAMIE||Today, return to Wyoming for a visit to the FORT LARAMIE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE. Originally established as a fur trading fort where caravans of Lakota would trade buffalo robes each spring, it eventually became known as a military post playing a key role in the Indian Wars. Later, continue south to Laramie where the Wild West culture still lives. (B)|
|Day 8||Steamboat Springs||After breakfast, travel along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway through MEDICINE BOW NATIONAL FOREST and enter northern Colorado. Along the way, look for moose, pronghorn sheep, bears, and even wolverines that call this region home. Later, arrive in Steamboat Springs, once the summertime hunting ground for the Native American Ute and more recently settled by generations of cattle ranchers creating today's well-known authentic cowboy culture. This evening, you may wish to attend the weekly famous Jackpot Pro Rodeo. |Day 9||Steamboat Springs||Today is at leisure. Perhaps, take a stroll around town to learn about Steamboat's remarkable Olympic heritage. Visit the many quaint shops on Lincoln Avenue, soak in the hot springs, or take the Steamboat Gondola for endless hikes and chances to spot Rocky Mountain wildlife. Tonight, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner. (B,D)|
|Day 10||Denver||This morning, travel to Denver International Airport for guests who have homebound flights. Please schedule flights after 3 pm. The tour ends at the Renaissance Denver Downtown City Center hotel in the late afternoon for those guests with extra nights. (B)|

Booking your Vacation with Air
For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Globus offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable per person service fee ($30 for North/Central America, $50 for Europe/Middle East and $80 for all other destinations. Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. However, once your airfare is confirmed and Globus has received your full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed.

Air-inclusive vacations include government-imposed taxes and fees applicable at the time of booking and will be shown as a Total Amount. Additional airline fees for baggage may apply. At the time of booking your air-inclusive vacation online, carrier Websites will be provided to check baggage fees, or you can visit www.iflybags.com for up-to-date baggage pricing/restrictions. For return travel from some countries, international travelers are required to pay entry and/or exit fees at the airport. These fees will be collected by the local government and are payable by the traveler at time of travel. Your confirmation booking information will contain information about these fees.
