The town of Granby, population of approximately 1870, is located in Grand County. The elevation is 8,000 ft and located 80 miles from Denver. The town is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery making it a recreational paradise.

The Arapaho National Forest surrounds the Granby area. The forest provides many outdoor activities for all seasons, including camping, hiking, fishing, off-roading, hunting, ice fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. There is abundant wildlife, including Big Horn Sheep, Rocky Mountain Elk and Colorado Moose. We also have Rocky Mountain National Park, with majestic mountains, tundra wildflowers, abundant wildlife, Trail Ridge Road and State Forest State Park (yes, State and State), with miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and four-wheel driving.

In addition to the breathtaking mountains, the area is surrounded by beautiful lakes. During the summer months, Granby Reservoir, Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake are all popular for boating and fishing.

Summertime brings music festivals, golfing, bicycling, horseback riding, water-skiing and weekend rodeos.

In winter, head over to nearby Winter Park (30 minutes away) or Ski Granby Ranch, which are both family oriented ski areas that make it easy to keep track of the children and learn to ski at your own pace. Between Winter Park and Granby, relax after a day on the slopes at the nearby hot sulphur springs and let Mother Nature steam your aches away.
